Christopher Burt Obituary

Christopher Scott Burt

May 3, 1967 ~ June 16, 2023 - 56 Years Old

This is the worst obituary I’ve ever read. Who could write such a cold emotionless piece? People wrote nicer tributes on Facebook about him. This is beyond disappointing he was so much more than this and deserved so much better.

Also I know it’s lot the funeral home, they just post what they’re told. So who told them to post this? Shame on you!

FIXED IT

Christopher Scott Burt, 56, died Friday, June 16, 2023, at Albany Medical Center Hospital unexpectedly from a surprise illness.

Since 2002 Chris was a Freelance Makeup Artist & Hair Stylist for Special Events, Weddings, Fashion Shows and Commercials. He was published  in various local, regional and national publications and internationally in People Magazine. He also had the pleasure of working in music videos, TV Shows on Showtime and even political campaigns where he also Stylized wardrobe for talent and special guests.

You may recognize him from his position as a Makeup Artist for MAC Cosmetics in both Colonie and Albany Macy’s. He proudly graduated from The Orlo School of Cosmetology in 2011 where he began the next phase of his career as a Hair Stylist on location for special events, weddings and private clients. For the past 4 Years or so he was Hair Stylist at Hair Studio One in Glenmont.

In his spare time he enjoyed (and was exceptionally good at) decorating, visual displays, upcycling, painting and making floral arrangements. He helped so many of us beautify our homes and wardrobes.

Christopher was one of the most loyal, caring, generous, kind, funny and charismatic people you’d ever meet in your life. He was adored by hundreds of clients, and dozens of friends who loved him like family. Former clients have been posting on FB and IG how much they loved him.

He lit up a room when he walked in it and had you in stitches halfway through any event, show, dinner, work function, or car ride. He loved everyone with open arms and brought so many wonderful people together as is obvious with how big our friend group is. Most of us know each other because of Chris and we are all better people for knowing him.

He leaves behind a large circle of close knit friends and family who are devastated at his unexpected passing. Life will never be the same without him.
